Nate hits hard. The punch sends me back, hard. My cheek was bleeding before I hit the ground. I got up slowly, holding my cheek.
“WHAT THE HELL! I SIAD NOT TO KILL THEM!” Nate screamed .
“ He went for my gun.”
Nate clenched his teeth and punched me in the gut. I went down but he picked me up.He back handed me and sent me back down. I could hardly stand for such a tiny beating but damn he hit hard.
“Going to hit me again?” I asked as I spit blood out.
“No….Why did you kill them!”
‘He went for my gun!”
“No he DIDN’T! I SAW! YOU SAW MOVMENT! HE WAS TRYING TO RUN AND YOU PULLED THE TRIGGER!”
“He deserved it.”
Nate hit into out wrecked car. He walked over and picked me up.
“YOUR SICK! YOU’VE BECOME WHAT YOU HATE!”
“So be it.” I said as I pushed past him.
“Where are you going!?” Nate yelled.
“Going to hell. Fast. Look behind you.” I said as I picked up my guns.
He turned and saw what I saw. The sun rising. The hill behind us looked like it was just bumpy in the dark. It was actually crawling with maulers. When the sun reached over the ridge of the hill reveling us they charged. They were half a mile away tops. We had to find a car or we were dead. Kevin, Nate, Kenlan and I had to run like hell.
We sprinted for what seemed like ever. No one spoke. It would just waste our breath. We could hear them behind us. Slowly gaining with each step. Few more minutes and they’d catch us. We had to find a place to hide or something to make us move faster then on foot. My legs were burning as we reached a road. The was a lake on the other side.
“GET TO TE LAKE!! FIND A FUCKING BOAT!!!” I screamed in terror.
As we came up to the lake, Kenlan spotted one on the sand up the beach.
He reached it first and started pushing it in. We helped and got it in the water. I climbed in after Kevin and Nate after me. Kenlan pushed us in all the way before the maulers got us. He dove out of the way and back on the sand. We were already drifting out into open water when Kenlan turned and ran from them. He was running around the lake with an army of maulers chasing him.
“Shit we have to help him.” I said
“We cant..” Kevin said.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!”
“If we try to help him the maulers would be able to get us.” Kevin spoke coldly.
“NOT IF I SHOOT THEM!”
“Shut up. I don’t mean to be cold but we cant do anything to help.”
I looked at Nate.
