Well.... let's get straight to it.
The whole Spidey thing seemed to be a little pointless, but the art was good and Spidey's dialogue was well-written. I don't like how Hawkeye's suddenly becoming all hard, saying stuff like 'Where'd ya go?' and 'We'd be pickin' out coffins'. It almost seems like Loeb's turning him into Wolverine, which is NOT ULTIMATE HAWKEYE. He's basically a new character - new costume, hair, new accent, more killjoy.... and all he has is those darn guns.... his character is no longer unique, which sucks.
Another thing is - in every page the character's were all in there costumes. I mean, Tony Stark wouldn't always walk around in his Iron Man suit. Why would Jan be sitting alone talking to Hank in her costume? It just takes away the human element of the book.... which was what made it so great in the first place.
The Brotherhood fight was cool, the art was amazing, and I especially like the way Loeb writes the characters - Jan's speech bubbles are tiny when she shrinks, Multiple Man says the same thing over and over (that 'Kill him. Kill him. Kill him.' was actually freaky) and while the others attack the Ultimates, Blob raids the fridge.
HOWEVER.
Isn't Sabertooth still working for Weapon X? When did Lorelei join? If Magneto was able to sneak in and get Pietro, why send the Brotherhood in the first place?
All in all, though, good issue, fantastic art, great dialogue. 7/10 from me.
P.S. The Kick-Ass ad was awesome. And the FF one.
