So I have an idea for a comic, but I"ll probably never get around to actually writing it...but I thought I'd put it down here anyway, since everyone else has cool fanfic. Please read the whole thing, it gets good towards the end.
So the main character (maybe) is called the Timemaster. Basically, he controls all time. He can go backwards and forwards, slow it down, speed it up, whatever.
So the comic opens in the not-too-distant future, in New York City, probably. And everything is bright, with incredibly vibrant colors. Like, so vibrant and happy, you know something is wrong.
Over these bright images of the city, an unseen narrator talks about how they live in a real-world utopia. There is no murder, there are no robberies, there is literally no crime at all. This is because whenever there is some sort of crime, Timemaster has gone back and undone it, and made sure it never happened.
He's done this with all tragedies of the past. He got rid of the Holocaust, Black Plague, and all wars. He even got rid of religion, to stop all disputes over it.
So everyone is perfectly happy, and fear is nonexistent (except for the fear that if you do something wrong, he will wipe away your existence, which I guess is kinda major).
The Timemaster pretty much rules over the world, because he's has saved so many people's lives and made the world perfect, and not many people object. He is never seen, but he is always working, on making the world remain perfect.
During the story the narrator will flashback to when he first got his powers. It will show the Timemaster as a young teen, in a dark, foreboding New York City, that seems to be only alleyways and rain, sorta like Gotham in the new Batman.
He's being chased by a gang of older men, looking to steal from him (and maybe rape? I haven't decided the age appropriate-ness yet, although rape would traumatize him into wanting to make everything perfect for everyone, because of what was done to him as a child).
After he is beaten(/raped?), a mysterious figure, who is never shown, drops an old pocketwatch at his feet, and then disappears as the kids back is turned. As soon as the kid touches the pocketwatch, it disappears, but he finds he can now completely control time.
Flash forward to the present, where the narrator continues his discussion, saying something like, "And so everyone goes about their lives, content, unaware of what has happened, what is happening, and what could have been....except, of course, for me."
As he says this, we go down alleyways to the one darker part of this new utopian NYC, to one small, beaten-down shack. Inside sits a middle-aged man, very unkempt, old stubble on his face, and hasn't taken a shower in a while. He has notes and clippings covering every inch of his walls, and lying all over the floor. They say things about the Holocaust, the Crusades, and other tragedies and wars throughout history.
The caption/narrator/this man says: "I see everything. Everything he erased."
End of issue 1.
The thing about this comic is, there will be no clear good or bad guy, it will be up to the reader to decide. Is Timemaster justified in fixing everything, or is he just creating a fake dream world? And is this mysterious Seer justified in wanting to stop him by any means necessary, or should he let Timemaster be?
The comic will not take a side, and just let their conflict grow, while the readers choose who is the good and bad guy for themselves. _________________ Proud member of the Ultimate Marvels!

Sounds awesome to me! The Timemaster seems like the bad guy to me, because we can't live in a fake world. We have to have the world the way it is or else it's pretty much fake! I'm not saying I like crime! I hate bad guys who kill people! I'm just saying that we can't delude ourselves into thinking we live in paradise!
Keep writing and I'll keep reading! _________________ "THE ULTIMATE MARVEL TRIVIA GAME! C'mon it's Fun!"
