yeah i haven't written any issues for a while, i've been busy with exams. they are almost over though so i'll be starting the next arc soon

‘Impervious’ Issue 5 – ‘The Other Side of the Coin’
‘Best of Friends/Worst of Enemies’ part 1
9 months ago, the day of the robbery…
“Just wait here, Daz.” Tom said stepping out of the car, “I’ll be back in five minutes with the money for the boss and a small bonus for us.”
Beads of sweat formed on Darren’s forehead as he watched Tom burst into the shop to begin the usual routine, he gripped the steering wheel tighter, ‘Get in… get out… drive…’ he thought to himself.
He glanced in his rear-view mirror, but what he saw gave him a shock. A red silhouette flew threw the air and set down at the end of the street, it was joined by two more figures.
“What the hell is that…? Were they flying? I’m not waiting around to find out!” Darren muttered under his breath. He slammed his foot down onto the accelerator, causing the car to race away from the scene.
Screeching to a halt, outside the flat he shared with Tom, he dashed inside, threw an open suitcase onto his bed, and began cramming his clothes inside.
“I’ve gotta get away from this…” Darren muttered to himself, “I’m in so far over my head.”
9 months later, 3 days after Impervious stopped working for the boss…
‘CRASH’ as a large man barged into a derelict, supposedly abandoned building, quickly followed by a smaller man dressed in a sharp pinstripe suit.
“Darren Williams, we know you are in here.” Called the smartly dressed gentleman, “My name is Charlie Quinn, and I have a proposal for you from the boss.”
“You can tell him I’m not interested!” came the reply, as Darren crawled out of his hiding place.
Quinn drew a taser from inside his jacket, “I’m afraid you don’t have a say in the matter…” and shot two electrified prongs into Darren’s right shouldered, sending his body crashing to the floor and his mind into darkness.

‘Best of Friends/Worst of Enemies’ part 2.
Weisenfield’s Lab, after a 4 hour operation…
“He is vaking up, sir.” The Doctor spoke softly into his cell, “Ze neural controlling devices are in place and are all registering.”
“Excellent,” The voice answered back, “put the plan into operation.”
A small hospital room, the other side of town…
“…And then I stopped a little old lady from being mugged.” Tom spoke to the comatose child, not knowing whether he was being heard or not, not really caring “When are you gonna wake up? Please wake…”
“Breaking news: the UN summit being held to discuss climate change has been stormed by a super-powered terrorist and are now being held hostage,” The TV cuts across Tom, “I can now confirm that the hostage taker has made but one demand. No… that can’t be right. He is demanding that Impervious attempts the rescue. Who is this character and will he even show up?”
“What? Nobody even knows about me except… the boss!”
Some time later…
“This is Tony Newman reporting from outside the scene of the dramatic UN hostage crisis! There is no sign of the mysterious Impervious the hostage taker demanded… Hold the phone! There seems to be some commotion at the police cordon… mn… okay… Yes…! I have just been told that this Impervious has arrived and is… well, he’s just… just some kid!!”Tom strode past the line of policemen, cheered on by the amassed crowds until he stopped just in front of the large revolving doors. Then, after taking one long, deep breath for courage, he stepped through.
“Welcome to the party, Tom.” spoke the hooded figure, his face shrouded in darkness.
“Wh… what…? Darren!?!”
